After visiting Prague, we took a 5 hour drive to Austria. We have been looking for accommodation as we go and booking in last minute. Dan and I love the idea of being able to stay longer if we like a place or get out of there quicker if we need to! Since this is the first summer in Europe where everyone can travel freely though, it's been a little more difficult than usual to find accommodation. Places are more expensive, or everything is straight up sold out.
We were SO lucky to find this place in Pürgg, Austria. It's a popular place to stay in the winter to ski but since it's the middle of summer there was a nice discount and spots available for us! I set up a tripod with my G 200-600mm f5.6-6.3 lens and captured a timelapse of the mountains right outside our window. All the photos in this blog post are taken with my Sony A7IV. The vlog which you can watch below was all captured on the Sony A7sIII.
That night as I was getting ready to go to bed for a sunrise start the next day, I noticed the moon outside our bathroom window. It was in a crescent shape during blue hour and headed towards the jagged mountain peak. Dan quickly set up the tripod for a timelapse while I snapped a few photos. I started with a closeup shot of the moon with my 200-600mm f5.6-6.3 OSS lens. As it became darker, I switched to my GM 85mm f1.4. I do love the 85mm photos because you can see more of the mountains. It tells a little more of a story!
Stay tuned for the next few blog posts from my time in Austria. You can also see what we got up to in my Austria vlog and see more of the photos we took on other days. Please subscribe to my YouTube channel if you haven't already! I upload new photography videos every single week.

I didn’t take as many film photos as I did while in Prague. But here is a collection of the few I did capture! I was using both my Contax T2 and Olympus Mju-II while in Austria. These were taken with either Portra 400 or Fujifilm C200 film stocks.
