Almost two years ago now, before our year of endless summer of travelling to the States and Europe, Dan and I decided to call the Australian mountains home. We spent a week curled up cosy in a beautiful cottage surrounded by trees, birds and fog. We spent our time editing, writing, going on photo adventures in the afternoons and cooking dinners by the fire at night.
We set off on our drive through the fog.
Sipping on coffee, no sounds other than birds and water falling off the nearby mountains to be heard.
We arrived at our cottage in the mountains just before dark. We unpacked all our things, including all the good food we bought at the fruit market that morning.
Exploring our new home.
The next morning we woke up early to find our cottage enveloped in a blanket of fog.
The house spider.
Using my beautiful new Colibri Straps.
Breakfast.
Watching the kookaburra's fly from tree to tree every morning and afternoon.
Making and tending to the bonfire on chilly evenings.
I caught a shooting star while taking pictures of the millions of stars. I love staring at the sky when there is absolutely no light pollution around.
Sipping coffee at sunrise.
My outdoor editing space.
Afternoon adventures.
Spending our last night playing Monopoly.
Thank you for a wonderful week Kangaroo Valley. You refreshed my mind and gave me a breath of fresh air.
