Google Pixel 7 Camera Review
The Google Pixel 7 makes use of a 50 megapixel Quad Bayer sensor. This is the same sensor we are seeing in the Google Pixel 7 Pro. The main camera of the Pixel 7 is the full frame equivalent of 24mm and makes use of autofocus.
During this Pixel 7 camera review I am shooting with RAW + JPG. The RAW files are usually better for editing as they store more information. I decided to edit my RAW files from this photoshoot with my Aspen Lightroom Preset Pack. I also share the unedited JPG files. These are the images the Pixel processes to give you a ready to go photo. Watch my Google Pixel 7 review video below to see all the unedited, straight out of camera photos at 100% crop.

PIXEL 7 WIDE CAMERA EXAMPLES
PIXEL 7 ULTRAWIDE PHOTOS
The Pixel 7 features a fixed focus, 12 megapixel Ultrawide camera. This ultrawide camera is the full frame equivalent of 16mm. The Pixel 7 Pro uses a slightly wider 13mm equivalent Ultrawide camera. Unless you compare a side by side photo, you don't notice the field of view difference between the ultrawide lens of the 7 and 7 Pro. Below are my Pixel 7 Ultrawide photos:
PIXEL 7 2X ZOOM PHOTOS
The Pixel 7 takes a crop from the 48 megapixel sensor to achieve high quality 2x zoom images. In 2x mode, you are using the full frame equivalent focal length of 48mm. Just like the Pixel 7 Pro, I am impressed with the quality of 2x zoom in the Pixel 7. There are lots of details, especially in close up shots, and the colours look true to life. The Pixel 7 supports up to 8x digital zoom. Below are my Pixel 7 2x zoom photos:
PIXEL 7 LENS COMPARISON
Unlike the Google Pixel 7 Pro, the Pixel 7 does not feature an optical telephoto lens. Here is an example of all the main focal lengths available in the Pixel 7:
PIXEL 7 VIDEO EXAMPLES
Watch my review video above to see all the video examples I captured during out portrait photoshoot. I am filming in 4K 60P and make use of the ultrawide and wide cameras, as well as 2x zoom for video. While filming these examples, I am constantly walking and moving around. You can see the stabilisation of the Pixel 7 does an amazing job at keeping the footage looking smooth. I share all the footage at 60p but also slow down some sections to 30P so we can see it in slow motion. I also share unedited video examples + a few video examples with minor tonal adjustments.
PIXEL 7 NIGHT SIGHT
The Google Pixel 7 features impressive night sight capabilities when it comes to photography in low light. Watch my behind the scenes and review video above to see all my night sight examples! I included hand held night sight shots of food and portraits of my partner Dan to take a look at. I also took night sight photos on a tripod of the Sydney Harbour. I've included some of the edited photos just below. I make use of Wide, Ultrawide and 2x zoom for these night sight shots and you can see the quality is consistent throughout each photo mode. Below are my Pixel 7 night sight photos:
