Canon 5Dmk2 low light Portrait Photography | honey jars
The Canon 5Dmkii was my 2nd ever DSLR camera - the Pentax K100D was my first! During this portrait photoshoot, I collaborated with an amazing team of creatives. We have our 3 models and I was also shooting side by side with 2 other photographers and my partner Dan who made a video of our afternoon shoot. I was excited to try some new techniques with my 5Dmk2 camera body - we decided to venture deep into the forest where it was dark. We used some candles as our main light source and took some portraits.
I was using the Canon 85mm f1.2L II lens for all these photos. Since there were a lot of people at our shoot, I thought having a telephoto lens would be beneficial. I could stay out of everyone’s way but still capture closeup images of our subjects. Let me know what you think of the photos in the comments!
