My style of photography is usually shaped by the lenses I use, I love photographing with wide apertures of 1.2 or 1.4 to create soft, dreamy looking photos with lots of bokeh. For today’s photoshoot, I decided to try something different and use a kit lens to show that no matter what kind of gear you have, nothing should stop you from going out to take some photos! In today’s photoshoot I’m using the Sony A7III with the Sony FE 28-70mm f3.5-5.6, you can watch the behind the scenes video of our photoshoot below where I give some tips on how to make the most of using a kit lens for portrait photography + share all my camera settings.

A big thank you to our amazing team, I’ve credited them below + their Instagram handles are in the video. All these photos were edited with my new Mountains Lightroom Preset Pack which includes 4 brand new presets which I’ve been obsessed with lately! Only the first image (above) - the closeup with the water behind Karina was edited with Aspen as I wanted a slightly lighter and more airy look to that photo.

Please subscribe to my channel if you haven’t already, I upload a new photography related video every single Wednesday!
